Legislative Elections
Interested in becoming a student Senator and representing the voice of the students in your college? Run for a Senate seat for the college in which you are majoring! Senate elections are held every fall on the second consecutive Wednesday and Thursday of classes in October.
The Senate filing period begins on the sixth CSUN business day in September and closes ten CSUN business days later.
Executive Elections
Interested in becoming the next CSUN Student Body President, Vice President, or Senate President? Run in the Executive elections held each spring! You must run as a ticket of three - meaning if you want to run for President, you will need to find running mates to run with you for the Vice President and Senate President positions, you can ONLY run with a ticket of three people. The Primary Election is held on the second consecutive Wednesday and Thursday of classes in March and the General Election is held on the second consecutive Wednesday and Thursday of classes in April.
