The department’s curriculum meets the needs of students intending to enter the workforce or pursue advanced training in the sciences, medicine, and other professional and technical fields.

There are 19 full-time faculty in the department, with six full-time support staff, six postdoctoral research associates, and four (varies from semester to semester) part-time instructors. There are approximately 22 graduate students in the doctoral program and 400 undergraduate majors.
