Become acquainted with the licensing procedures for marriage and family therapists as mandated by the State of Nevada Board of Examiners for Marriage and Family Therapists and Clinical Professional Counselors.
Upon successful completion of the licensing exam, applicants become registered marriage and family therapy interns in the state of Nevada, eligible to practice under the direct supervision of a licensed AAMFT approved supervisor or AAMFT supervisor candidate.

Students should understand that the state's post-master's internship and the department's pre-master's internship are in no way related.
