About CAAP Events
CAAP@UNLV organizes, sponsors, and co-sponsors events that:
- Provide information, networking opportunities, mentoring and other resources.
- Highlight and support research and scholarship of black professionals at UNLV.
- Promote an academically rigorous and culturally competent environment.
- Address issues that affect and are of particular interest to black professionals.
- Expand and strengthen the sense of community and mutual support among UNLV’s black faculty, staff, administrators, students, and with the entire campus community.
- Advance a respectful and informed environment in which issues of real and perceived inequity and injustice are effectively identified, directly addressed, and discussed in a manner that incorporates the most current academic research and scholarship on race, education, diversity, and inclusion.
