On Sept. 18, UNLV’s diplomat in Residence, Antoinette Hurtado, spoke to students of world languages and cultures about internships, fellowships, and career opportunities with the Department of State. 46 students attended the meeting. Most attendees had never thought about pursuing a career in the foreign service field before and were amazed by all the available opportunities. Ms. Hurtado continued to emphasize that language skills are very valuable assets, as languages help us connect with people and their cultures worldwide. Information on career paths, internships or fellowships can be found here.

Thank you, Ms. Hurtado, and thank you students for attending!
