Rochelle Walker (Fine Arts) and Samantha Carroll (Educational Psychology and Higher Education) created Living Your Best Life: Balancing School, Work, and Family Summit. It was created out of a graduate multicultural course project within the higher education leadership program. The goal was to provide UNLV student-parents a positive and supportive campus environment while presenting the necessary tools and campus resources in order for this student population to persist through to graduation. Cristina Hernandez (Women's Center) and Walker cohosted the event. Presenters included Vice President Juanita Fain (Student Affairs), Tracy Johnson (Liberal Arts), Liz Carrasco (Counseling and Psychological Services), Misty Valentin (Financial Aid & Scholarships), Nicole Stella (Academic Success Center), and keynote speaker Anita Revilla (Interdisciplinary, Gender, and Ethnic Studies). Carroll is a graduate student.
