Janelle Yasukochi (Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education) and Maria Aladjova (Health Sciences) served as the conference co-chairs, representing Region 9, at the NACADA Region 8, 9, & 10 Conference: Illuminating the Path of Possibilities, recently held in Las Vegas from Feb. 27-March 1. NACADA is the professional association for Academic Advising.  

Megan Hullinger and Kevin McVay (both Sciences) co-presented, "Fostering a United Front: A Case Study of Best Practices for Advising Staff Retention."

Maria Aladjova (Health Sciences) co-presented, "Finding Harmony: Simple Approaches for the Busy Life of an Academic Advisor," with a colleague from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. 

Samuel Goodrich (Hospitality) co-presented, "Rainbows, Glitter, and Self-Care: How to Assist Your LGBTQ+ Peers (and Yourself) Avoid Burnout," with former colleagues from NSC.

Jaime Carbajal (Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education), Christina Perez (Health Sciences), Eric Michael (Urban Affairs), and Kaliya Rush (Liberal Arts) served on the conference planning committee.
