Assistantships, available to all graduate students, allows you to teach classes, work in the scene and costume shops, house manage, and perform other administrative services. Currently, assistantships provide a nine-month stipend of $15,000, as well as a tuition waiver. For more information about graduate assistantships, visit the Graduate College website.
2. Fill out and send the Graduate Assistant Application Form and a non-refundable $60 check ($75 for international applicants) payable to The Board of Regents to the Graduate College.
3. Send official transcripts from each undergraduate school attended. Have one mailed to the department of theatre and the other to the Graduate College. Only official transcripts, mailed directly from the issuing institution and containing the institution seal will be accepted.
4. Mail a letter of intent (maximum 500 words) to the department of theatre stating why you want to study theatre in your chosen.
5. Mail a resume to the department of theatre.
6. Have two letters of recommendation mailed to the department of theatre. The letters must be sent directly to the department by the person writing the recommendation.
