Before You Get Started
- You will need a category 5e or greater Ethernet (patch) cable. Plug the cable into your console’s Ethernet port and into the correct wall jack.
- You will need the wired (LAN) MAC address from your console. Please consult the sections below on how to find your console’s MAC address.
Checking Your Current Ethernet Settings
PlayStation 3
- Go to Settings in the main menu.
- In settings, go to System, then scroll down to System Information.
- Your MAC Address will be listed here.
- Be sure to write down the entire string of letters and numbers, including the colons ":" in between.
PlayStation 4
- Go to Settings in the main menu.
- Scroll down and select System. Then select System Information.
- Here you will see the MAC addresses for LAN (Ethernet) and Wi-Fi. You will use the LAN (Ethernet) address.
- Be sure to write down the entire string of letters and numbers, including the colons ":" in between.
Register Your Device
- Using a computer go to the device enrollment website.
- On the enrollment page, enter your ACE password, check box "I accept the acceptable use policy".
- Enter in the MAC address of your PlayStation; select "Sony Gaming Device" as device type.
- Valid email address, mobile number and service provider are optional fields.
- Click Enroll Device.
- Once your device is enrolled, reboot your gaming device. Your gaming device should now be online.
