About the Fair
The Beal Bank USA Southern Nevada Regional Science & Engineering Fair High School Division promotes an interest in STEM for high school students in Southern Nevada counties including Clark County and the Clark County School District. Other students in the state of Nevada may participate with approval from the fair’s director and as long as they have not competed in another ISEF affiliated fair.
The fair’s affiliation with the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) requires that high school students follow guidelines established by the ISEF.
The benefits of competing in the fair include:
- Cash prizes for selected projects in first, second and third place
- Ribbons, trophies and medals awarded to winning projects
- First and second place projects invited to annual awards banquet
- Overall high school division winner could compete at the International Science and Engineering Fair.
Important Notes
For projects using vertebrate animals, human participants, hazardous chemicals, or bio-hazards (e.g. bacteria), the required forms must be submitted to the SNRSEF for approval from the Scientific Review Committee prior to start of experimentation. Failure to do this could result in lost points at the regional fair, and/or being disqualified from competing at the International Science and Engineering Fair. Required documents are easily determined by completing the ISEF Rules Wizard. Literature searches cannot be submitted for the competition.
Registration will not be available once it has closed in our STEM Wizard registration site. No late, off-line submissions will be accepted. If students show up to the fair without proper registration and submission of forms/documents, they will not be allowed to compete in the fair.
