Stop the Bleed is a national awareness campaign that is intended to encourage bystanders to become trained, equipped, and empowered to help in a critical bleeding emergency before professional help arrives. No matter how fast the arrival of emergency responders, bystanders will always be first on the scene. A person who is severely bleeding can die from blood loss within five minutes, therefore it is important to quickly stop the blood loss. Those nearest to someone with life threatening injuries are best positioned to provide potential lifesaving care first. You may be able to save a life by taking what you will learn from our free class and applying it immediately after an incident has occurred. Below is a list of buildings and locations of Stop the Bleed Kits on UNLV campuses and Nevada State College. All Stop the Bleed Kits will be located inside of the buildings AED cabinets identified with a Stop the Bleed sticker on the front.
