Steps for International Students
-
Student will need to obtain original transcript.
-
Have the official transcript evaluated by a NACES member organization. This NACES evaluation and translation converts your non-US coursework to the US equivalency so that UNLV can evaluate your material for admission. You may wish to contact a few member organizations to determine the best price and timeline.
-
Hard copies of official transcripts, NACES evaluation, and test scores must be in a sealed envelope from the issuing institution or testing agency and may be mailed to the following address:
UNLV Office of Admissions
4505 S. Maryland Pkwy. Box 451021
Las Vegas, NV 89154-1021Institutions sending transcripts through a secure email method may use the following address: ugdocuments@unlv.edu
-
Make an Advising appointment to find out how your transfer credits will apply toward your degree.
-
Students requesting credit for specific UNLV course equivalencies need to include detailed course descriptions (in English) including course syllabus and textbook information. Translation of supporting documents does not have to be translated by a NACES member organization. However, it must be translated by an official governing body (e.g. University Faculty Member, Government agencies, etc). Translated documents must be notarized. Please submit these documents to your Academic Advisor for departmental review.
Please allow adequate time for the departmental review process.
