Nevada System of Higher Education

NSHE guides the operation of the state’s higher education system. The agency’s goals include balancing the state’s education budget, improving efficiency within institutions and the quality of their programs, and ensuring that students are given the best opportunities for success in both school and the workforce.

Board of Regents

Much like a corporate board of directors, Nevada’s Board of Regents governs the Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE). Elected to serve six-year terms, the 13 regents set policies and approve budgets for Nevada's entire public system of higher education.
