Biography
Wendy Kveck’s work confronts popular images and historical depictions of women as cultural markers through the mediums of painting, drawing, collage and performance. Informed by a feminist practice, her collaborative performances activate social perceptions and dialogue around vulnerability, chaos, agency and transformation.
Kveck exhibits and lectures nationally and is a recipient of a Soaring Gardens Artist Retreat fellowship through the Ora Lerman Charitable Trust. She is an advocate for the Las Vegas arts community through her various roles as an artist, arts educator, administrator, and volunteer serving local non-profit cultural organizations and institutions.
Wendy is also the founder of Couch in the Desert, a collective curatorial project highlighting contemporary art and artists with ties to Las Vegas, Nevada with local, regional, and national reach.
