Visiting lecturer Tami Fernandez joined the Department of Kinesiology and Nutrition Sciences during fall 2015 and teaches introduction to athletic training and management of sports trauma and illness within the undergraduate programs. She began her teaching career at UNLV as a part-time instructor for the department during fall 2012.

Fernandez earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and is concurrently employed as a licensed athletic trainer in the field of performance medicine.
