Swasati Mukherjee joined the University of Nevada Las Vegas as an Instructional Designer in 2016. She has been engaged in online education since early 2000 and holds an M.Ed. in Curriculum, Instruction, and Media Technology from Indiana State University. In addition to a postgraduate teaching credential, she also holds a BA in Environmental Science and Demography—specializing in population studies—from the University of Botswana and brings a unique perspective to education. Swasati’s professional trajectory has enabled her to empower faculty through engaging workshops and the introduction of new technologies. Her love of academia and passion for student learning inspired her to pursue a career teaching development studies at a secondary school for the Ministry of Education in Botswana. Before joining UNLV, Swasati worked at Kansas State and Indiana State University.These collective experiences have helped shape her outlook on pedagogical practice and design for student learning, empowering her to create and share powerful learning experiences.

On a personal note, Swasati is fond of travelling and exploring different cultures. She also enjoys spending time with her dogs and discovering local eateries. At UNLV, she likes to pursue her diverse interests by collaborating with faculty to enhance student achievement through engaging courses.
