Biography
Ms. Bruckmeier is a Ph.D. candidate in the Program in Neuroscience at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. She is a Cum Laude graduate of Mississippi State University with a BS in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. She was recently hired as a Visiting Lecturer in Psychology at UNLV and will transition to Assistant Professor-in-Residence on January 1, 2025. Ms. Bruckmeier’s research interests include modeling various aspects of cortical malformations and epilepsy that are associated with mutations in the amino acid regulatory arm of the mTOR pathway to understand how they impact neuronal morphology, function, and brain development.
