Biography

 Dr. Scott Scherr moved to Las Vegas in 1993 to play college baseball at UNLV. After a shoulder injury, Dr. Scherr graduated with his bachelor of science in radiologic sciences and health physics in 1997. Dr. Scherr worked as a radiologic technologist at University Medical Center until his acceptance to University of Nevada School of medicine in 1999. Dr. Scherr graduated from University of Nevada School of Medicine in 2003. He completed his residency training in Emergency Medicine at Emory University in Atlanta Georgia in 2006 where he was chief resident.

Dr. Scherr is currently a regional medical director for Team Health and medical director for Clark County Fire Department. He manages 14 emergency medicine and hospital medicine programs in Nevada and California. Dr. Scherr served as medical director at Sunrise hospital from 2012 to December 2017, and was the medical director the night of the October 1 Route 91 Harvest Fest shooting in Las Vegas .
