Biography

Sarah Vach (she/her/hers) is the Director of Strategic Analytics and Assessment for the College of Education. She received her Ph.D. in Special Education from UNLV and before returning, she served as Assistant Professor of Special Education at East Carolina University. Vach has previous experience in the Clark County School District working with multiple schools conducting research and supporting students with disabilities, and students who are culturally and linguistically diverse. Vach also has served as a curriculum and data consultant working with various states and schools, such as the District of Columbia Public Schools and East Greenwich School District in Rhode Island. Her interests include statistical methodology, designing and implementing quasi-experimental, sequential exploratory, grounded theory designs, action research, and more currently a large focus on q-methodology. Vach also studies evaluation research and loves to bring the human element to her role as a data analyst, telling the stories behind the data.
