Sarah Truby, MPH

Biography
Sarah Truby is Director of Development overseeing philanthropic initiatives to strengthen the College of Urban Affairs mission of teaching, scholarship, research, and public service. Truby is a native Southern Californian. She previously worked at the University of Houston, where she previously served as the Director of Advancement for the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics.
Truby brings a wealth of major gift fundraising experience with previous stops at the University of Southern California and the USC Keck School of Medicine, Occidental College, as well as time working at various non-profit organizations. She has a bachelor's degree in women and gender studies from San Francisco State University and a master's in public health from USC. She is particularly passionate about LGBTQ, health, education, and women's issues and how they intersect with public policy. In her spare time, she enjoys going to Pure Barre, home organization, and exploring new places, especially if it involves food.
