Biography

Phil Hubbard heads the Performance Area, is head of MFA Acting, and teaches acting, acting styles, and speech & accents for the stage. He is a resident actor with the Nevada Conservatory Theatre (UNLV's on-campus professional theatre). He has appeared in the NCT productions of The Seagull (Dorn), Dracula (Seward), Annie (Warbucks), Company (Larry), A Man For All Seasons (Henry VIII), Hamlet (Claudius), Tartuffe (Orgon), Inherit the Wind (Reverend Brown), and others. In 11 seasons at the Tony Award winning Utah Shakespeare Festival, he has appeared in over 25 productions including as: Claudius in Hamlet, Sir Toby Belch in Twelfth Night, Capulet in Romeo & Juliet, John Dickinson in 1776, Hastings in Richard III, Glendower in Henry IV Part One, Corin in As You Like It, Gregory Wagner in Room Service, and many others. His regional credits include appearances at Shakespeare Santa Cruz (2011), the Oregon Shakespeare Festival (1990-1993), PCPA Theatrefest and The Muni Opera of St Louis. He is a member of Actor's Equity Association (AEA) and the Voice & Speech Trainers Association (VASTA). He received his MFA in Acting from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX.
