Bio: Ms. Carattini uses her teaching experiences as a former special education teacher at Clark County School District, a large and diverse school district in Las Vegas, to lead her research and service. As a graduate assistant, she teaches courses for undergraduate and graduate programs, as well as supervises practicum students at UNLV. Ms. Carattini is committed through her scholarship to find ways to better support students who are ultimately identified as having emotional and/or behavioral disorders in K-12 school settings. Her research interests include teacher preparation, supporting students with emotional and behavioral disorders, and closing the research-to-practice gap in the sustained implementation of evidence-based practices.
