Melva Thompson-Robinson, DrPH, is a Professor in the School of Nursing. She is currently the Editor of the Journal of Health Disparities Research and Practice. She was the Project Director for the Southern Nevada Teen Pregnancy Prevention Project, which implemented an evidence-based intervention with African American youth ages 14-19 in African American faith-based organizations. Among many things, Dr. Thompson-Robinson was a member of the US Department of Health and Human Services Region IX Regional Health Equity Council.
