Melissa Stoffers is a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Early Childhood, Multilingual, and Special Education. She received her Ph.D. in human development and family sciences from the University of Delaware. Melissa's research focuses on the social-emotional development, well-being, and inclusion of people with disabilities using mixed and qualitative methodologies. Through her research, Melissa seeks to combat ableism, advocate for inclusive spaces, and center the voices of individuals with disabilities. Before pursuing her Ph.D., Melissa worked as a public school special education teacher in New Jersey.
