Biography

Melikabella Shenouda (she/her) is a recent UNLV alumna (Psychology, B.A. ‘21) pursuing her Master’s degree in Higher Education. Being a multiracial, first generation college student has not only facilitated her ability to connect with fellow students and faculty, but it has also engendered a fascination with identity and wellbeing in her local community. She currently serves as the Career & Professional Development Programming Assistant for UNLV’s College of Liberal Arts, where she has the opportunities of: teaching under/upper-division courses, collaborating with community internship partners, preparing students for personal and professional success, as well as working alongside university advocates via the Industry Leader Advisory Council. Ultimately, by cultivating an inclusive, supportive environment for students to thrive, and by sharing relevant resources, Melikabella hopes to foster access to higher education and healthcare for the increasingly diverse incoming student population within her hometown.
