Biography
Matthew Ng, MD, FACS, is a clinical associate professor and vice chair at the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV Department of Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery. He specializes in adult and pediatric otology-neurotology and lateral skull base surgery. He treats all forms of hearing loss, tinnitus, chronic ear infection, cholesteatoma, facial nerve disorders, dizziness and imbalance, and tumors of the lateral skull base. He performs cochlear implant surgery as well as placement of other implantable hearing devices.
He received his medical degree from the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California (USC). He was a research associate at the House Ear Institute Temporal Bone Morphology Laboratories (1989-1993). He completed his residency training in otolaryngology - head & neck surgery at Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center and his neurotology fellowship at the Johns Hopkins Hospital.
Prior to joining the academic faculty at UNLV, he was full-time academic faculty in the department of surgery, division of otolaryngology at the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine and, prior to that, in the Keck School of Medicine of USC Caruso Department of Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery. He served as a physician member of the State of Nevada Board of Hearing Aid Specialists. He is a volunteer otolaryngologist for the Southern Nevada Cleft Palate and Craniofacial Clinic.
