Maria Marinch, DPP

Biography
Maria Marinch has 30 years of combined experience in education, public relations, marketing, community outreach, multiculturalism, and languages. Before her current role as the executive director of the National Institute for the Advancement of Education, Marinch was part of the Clark County School District (CCSD) executive team, serving 316,000 students and families at the 5th largest school district in the nation.
Before being CCSD’s engagement officer and chief communications and government relations officer, she acted as the chief diversity officer and executive director of community relations, diversity, and multicultural affairs at the College of Southern Nevada for seven years.
Previously, she was a full-time visiting professor at UNLV, teaching Spanish and communication courses. She worked as an executive for Brown & Partners, Advertising and Public Relations, and as a public information officer and Ward 5 liaison for the City of Las Vegas.
She holds a doctoral degree in public policy, a master of arts in foreign languages, a bachelor of science in business administration, marketing degree from UNLV. She has also received extensive language and cultural training, including a two-year certification for translation and interpretation from the Berlitz Institute in Mexico.
