Dr. Maria D’Errico, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC, CNE, CHSE, CHSOS is an educator, simulationist, and entrepreneur. Dr. D’Errico is passionate about the use of simulation to improve patient outcomes by enhancing the education of health care professionals.

Dr. D’Errico is the founder and Chief Innovation Officer (CIO) of RMD Virtual Solutions LLC, where she provides expert consultation on simulation best practices. She consults as a Nurse Educator at UbiSim, an immersive virtual reality (VR) simulation platform dedicated to nursing education. In this role, she designs and develops immersive VR simulations for nursing students. She also guides academic and healthcare systems across the United States and internationally on how to integrate immersive VR simulation into their curriculum.

Dr. D’Errico is dual certified as a healthcare simulation educator and simulation operations specialist. She presents at national and global conferences on the use of immersive VR in nursing education. Dr. D’Errico is also a Certified Nurse Educator who designs graduate-level courses in simulation.

Dr. D’Errico is a board-certified family nurse practitioner with clinical expertise in primary care across the lifespan and the care of medically underserved communities. She has published research on HPV vaccination in peer-reviewed journals and has held faculty appointments at the undergraduate and graduate nursing levels. As a two-time alumna of the UNLV School of Nursing, Dr. D’Errico is proud to be serving on the CSCLV Faculty Advisory Board.
