Marc Glasser’s career spans over three decades of public and private sector service including infrastructure protection, resilience, security, business continuity, crisis management, law enforcement and education. His U.S. Government career spans almost 30 years encompassing the fields of homeland security, emergency management and law enforcement. Marc's U.S. Government service includes serving as the Region 10 Chief of Regulatory Compliance with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and a Special Agent with the U.S. Department of Transportation and U.S. Department of State.

Marc is a Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Technology Review Global Panel Member. He serves as a member of the Board of Advisors for the homeland security venture capital firm Responder Ventures, LLC. Marc is a HEROIC Cybersecurity Advisory Board Member [cybersecurity company utilizing Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Blockchain technologies]. He is a GoDaddy Customer Council Member (18 million customers worldwide and 77 million domain names under management). Marc is also involved with the start-up risk management and technology ventures Integrity Intelligence™ and ArrayRM™ (Array Risk Management™).

Marc’s current U.S. Government service is with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), as the Chief of Chemical Security for DHS Region 10 comprising of Alaska, Idaho, Oregon and Washington. Marc is the senior most regional representative responsible for the Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Standards (CFATS) program and leading coordination with other CISA missions and services for protecting the America’s critical infrastructure from physical and cyber threats.

Marc’s previous U.S. Government service included serving as a Special Agent with the U.S. Department of State and U.S. Department of Transportation. He managed the critical infrastructure branch protecting the U.S. National Air Space (NAS) for an eight-state region with approximately 200 staffed and 1,100 unstaffed facilities. He managed a Federal Continuity of Operations (COOP) program involving 12 western states and the South Pacific. He served as a Federal Emergency Response Official (FERO) and Regional Emergency Transportation Representative team member in support of the National Response Framework (NRF) Emergency Support Function #1 (ESF #1) involving Federal responses to incidents of U.S. national significance. He has served on a regional (comprising of an eight state region) Crisis Management Working Group (CMWG) representing security.

He has supervised or conducted over 600 threat and vulnerability assessments addressing natural disasters, technical disruptions and terrorist risks. He conducted Federal criminal, civil and presidential appointee suitability investigations. He has served in a Fusion Center and as a FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF) and FBI Organized Crime Task Force member. He served on three U.S. Secretary of State’s Protective Details. He served as a U.S. Department of State Diplomatic Courier ensuring the integrity of Top Secret materials. Additionally, he is a graduate of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC), Glynco, Georgia. While attending college Marc served as a Texas Department of Corrections Correctional Officer at a Maximum Security correctional facility.

His academic affiliations have included serving as an Associate Professor at the Maryland University College (UMUC) and Adjunct Professor at the following: University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV); Regis University; National University; and Henley-Putnam University. Marc also serves on the Seattle University Department of Criminal Justice Advisory Committee. He holds a Master of Science in Crisis and Emergency Management from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and a Bachelor of Science in Law Enforcement and Police Science from Sam Houston State University.

His professional accreditations are or have included: CPP (Certified Protection Professional, ASIS International); CEM (Certified Emergence Manager); FABCHS (Fellow American Board for Certification in Homeland Security) requiring the following: Diplomate ABCHS (DABCHS), CHS-V, IV, III, II and I [Certified in Homeland Security, American Board for Certification in Homeland Security (ABCHS)]; and; CORE (Certified Organizational Resilience Executive, The International Consortium for Organizational Resilience). Additionally, he is Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP) and HSEEP Train-the-Trainer Certified by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security; and FEMA Continuity of Operations (COOP) Planner's Train-the-Trainer Workshop Certified.
