Laurette Stewart
Assistant Professor, Faculty in Residence
Biography
Laurette Stewart is an assistant professor faculty in residence with the Mathematics Learning Center at UNLV. She received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in mechanical engineering from MIT and earned her Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. She worked as a senior thermal mechanical engineer for the Advanced Technology Center at Lockheed Martin Missiles and Space. Her love of teaching brought her to CCSD where she taught mathematics at Palo Verde High School and from there she came to teach at UNLV with the Math Learning Center.
