Lauren Gatto is the Assistant Director of First Year Experience working within the Office of the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education. She earned her B.S. in Recreation Administration from California State University, Chico, an M.S. in Higher Education Administration from Florida International University, and is pursuing her doctorate in Educational Leadership at Lamar University in Texas. She has worked in a variety of functional areas, such as Housing, Advising, Student Life, Tutoring, Marketing, and Enrollment Management. In addition, Lauren worked in public relations in the Cayman Islands on a year work visa. Lauren enjoys facilitating training and believes in offering students experiential learning opportunities to interact with their learning. She strives to design a first-year experience for all first-year students at UNLV to feel welcome, psychologically safe, and supported holistically.
