Hailing from Toronto, Canada, Kia Cummings '22 is an accomplished writer with an interest in communications and sports. After completing her bachelor of arts in sports media at Ryerson University in 2019, she began her master's in journalism and media studies at the Hank Greenspun School of Journalism. She has since graduated, and her thesis, "Soul on Ice": Black Commodification, Race, and the National Hockey League, was published in the Sociology of Sport Journal.
