Child Welfare Training Specialist
Biography
As a child welfare training specialist with the Nevada Partnership for Training (NPT) Olukemi Frison-May trains new Department of Family Services (DFS) employees in the NPT Child Welfare Academy. She also teaches part time for the university and trains some NPT’s specialty courses. Prior to working at NPT, she worked for DFS for 10 years with the last five of those years as a supervisor. She is originally from Southern California and obtained a bachelor of arts degree in sociology from UCLA and an MSW from California State University, Long Beach. Prior to moving to Las Vegas in 2007, she worked for the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) in Los Angeles County for two years.
