Biography

Kate Critchfield is an actor from Arcadia, California, and has spent the majority of her life traveling throughout North America. Her love of performing is rooted in how we communicate and understand the human experience, and the power of artistic expression. She is currently based in Las Vegas, Nevada, and is pursuing a Master of Fine Arts in Performance at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Her background includes drama, comedy, and musical theatre.

With performance credits ranging throughout the United States and Canada, her recent roles local to Las Vegas include Annie Sullivan in The Miracle Worker (LVLT), Waverly in Recent Tragic Events (A Public Fit Theatre Company), Brooke/Vicki in Noises Off! (Poor Richard's Players), Daughter in A Public Reading of an Unproduced Screenplay About the Death of Walt Disney (Majestic Repertory Theatre), Storyteller/Adult Wendy in Peter Pan: A Musical Adventure (Huntsman Entertainment), and Catharine in Suddenly Last Summer (The Speeding Theatre Company). Additionally, Kate recently performed as Colleen/Lisa in Mr. Burns: A Post-Electric Play, Anne Debourgh in Pride and Prejudice, Mae in Mud, and the Stepmother in Cinderella: A Panto for Las Vegas with the Nevada Conservatory Theatre.

Kate has also been a cast member of Marriage Can Be Murder, the comedic murder mystery dinner show housed at The Orleans Hotel and Casino, for two years. She has played multiple roles in the show, including the Hostess lead. She recently, as well, had the amazing opportunity to perform as Marta Beckett in the beloved Amargosa Opera House's 55th anniversary celebration in Death Valley Junction.
