Biography
Junggab Son is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), NV, USA. Prior to joining UNLV, he served as an Assistant Professor at Kennesaw State University (KSU) from August 2018 to July 2022. He also held positions as a Limited-Term Assistant Professor from January to May 2018, and as a Research Fellow and Part-Time Assistant Professor from October 2016 to December 2017 at KSU. From September 2014 to September 2016, he was a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Department of Mathematics and Physics at North Carolina Central University in Durham, NC, USA. He earned his Ph.D. (August 2014) degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Hanyang University in Seoul, South Korea, and his B.S. degree (February 2009) from Hanyang University in Ansan, South Korea. His research interests include applied cryptography, blockchain and smart contracts, AI-powered cyber attacks and countermeasures, privacy preservation, and AI security.
