Associate Professor Guthrie (Ph.D., University of Kansas) teaches courses and conducts research in the areas of interpersonal and small group communication. Her research focuses on the “dark side”of interpersonal relationships, how we cope during times of struggle, and how we use our strengths to obtain relational health and positive social change. Her recent research examines deception in romantic relationships, domestic violence, and social support.
