Biography

Janese Nolan, Ph.D., is an educator and researcher whose work blends hip-hop feminism, poetry, and critical social theories. She earned her Ph.D. in Cultural and Educational Policy Studies from Loyola University Chicago and is a Golden Apple Scholar and Diversifying Faculty in Illinois (DFI) Fellow. Nolan's research examines how Black women teachers navigate the K-12 landscape, focusing on their agency and resilience.
