Jamie Davidson, Ph.D.

Biography
Dr. Jamie Davidson is a licensed psychologist with over thirty years of clinical practice and twenty-six years of experience as an administrator in higher education. His passion is developing pathways to care and support services that advance the optimal wellness of students, increasing access to healthcare, and addressing critical issues that impact our student populations. Jamie has served as the Associate Vice President for Wellness at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas since 2001, where he previously served as the Director of Student Counseling and Psychological Services. He oversees the Student Health Center with its laboratory and pharmacy, Student Counseling & Psychological Services, the Behavioral Health Team, the Disability Resource Center, the CARE Center, the Military and Veterans Service Center, the Office of Student Conduct, and an amazing team of talented professionals and staff.
Dr. Davidson is a past President of the American College Health Association (ACHA), received the ACHA Evelyn Wiener Mentoring Award in 2019, and was named a Fellow of the ACHA in 2016. He received the Award for Excellence in Addiction Research and Education from the Foundation for Recovery in 2014 and UNLV President’s Professional Staff Member of the Year Award in 2001. Jamie has contributed his expertise to mental health efforts such as the NCAA Mental Health Task Force, the NCAA Sports Wagering Institute, a SAMHSA Expert Panel Meeting on Collegiate Mental Health, the Netflix “13 Reasons Why” Coalition, and most recently by serving as a Co-chair of the Nevada System of Higher Education Mental Health Task Force.
