Ikseon Suh, Ph.D., CPA

Biography
Ikseon Suh joined the UNLV faculty in the Summer of 2017. She received her Ph.D. with an accounting concentration from the University of Southern Illinois, Carbondale (SIU-C), and master's degrees in Finance from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM) and in Accounting from SIU-C. Professor Suh also earned a B.A. in economics from ITAM. Prior to joining UNLV, Dr. Suh was an assistant professor of Accounting at Marquette University.
Suh’s research is focused on gaining an understanding of 1) why and how financial executives commit financial statement fraud, and 2) the factors that affect the judgment and decision-making (JDM) of key actors in corporate governance.
Suh is an active member of the American Accounting Association (AAA). She was a U.S. Fulbright-Comexus scholar and a two-time recipient of the prestigious University of Oklahoma Glen McLaughlin Prize for Research in Accounting and Ethics (2016 – 1st place; 2018 – 3rd place).
