Biography

Hamid Reza Nikkhah, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Management, Entrepreneurship, and Technology at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. His research focuses on understanding and addressing the complexities of securing digital information, protecting individual privacy, and combating various forms of cybercrime.

His research has received two awards at the International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS) and has been nominated for the Best Conference Paper Award. His work has been published in leading journals, including MIS Quarterly, Journal of Management Information Systems, Information & Management, International Journal of Information Management, and Computers in Human Behavior, among others. With 15 years of industry experience as a consultant and project manager, Hamid has been a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) since 2003 and holds cybersecurity certifications, including Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Security+, and several others from Microsoft and Cisco. In addition to his academic roles, Hamid has served the information systems community as an Associate Editor for ICIS and ECIS conferences. He has also received the “Reviewing Award” from the European Journal of Information Systems in recognition of his contributions.
