Erin Hamilton joined the UNLV faculty in the Fall of 2013. She received her Ph.D. in accounting from the University of South Carolina and her B.B.A. and M.S. in accounting from Kent State University.

Erin Hamilton’s teaching interests are in Auditing and Financial Accounting. Her research interests center on the judgments and decisions of auditors and investors with a particular interest in fraud detection and investors’ use of the information contained within financial disclosures and the auditor’s report.

Hamilton is a certified public accountant (CPA), licensed in the state of Ohio and is an active member of the American Accounting Association (AAA). She also worked as an auditor at Ernst & Young in Akron, Ohio.
