Emily was born and raised in California and relocated to Las Vegas in 2022. In 2017, she earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology at California State University, Chico. Emily continued to study at Chico State for her master’s degree in psychology, where she researched the positive effects of service-learning projects in higher education, specifically involving human-animal interaction. Transitioning from student to educator, Emily began teaching psychology courses at Chico State in 2019. She then relocated to Las Vegas where she worked as an academic advisor at the College of Southern Nevada (CSN). At CSN, she helped students of all areas of study and discovered her passion for academic advising. She has joined the Division of Health Sciences team at UNLV, where she continues to support students as they strive to reach their personal and professional goals.
