Biography
Dr. Douglas Eck is a is a proud graduate of Saginaw Valley State University (BA, ’13), Virginia Commonwealth University (DPT, ’16) and completed both his Neurologic Residency ('16-'17) and a Masters of Healthcare Innovation (MHI, '20) at The Ohio State University. He is an ABPTS Board-Certified Neurologic Clinical Specialist (NCS) and currently works with adults and adolescents in the outpatient setting as a senior physical therapist with 6+ years of experience serving the needs of individuals with neurologic injuries and conditions. His primary clinical interests include rehabilitation after spinal cord injury and patients diagnosed with neurodegenerative diseases (ALS, muscular dystrophy, multiple sclerosis). As an active member and leader in the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and The Academy of Spinal Cord Injury Professionals (ASCIP) he enjoys participating in education, research and professional advocacy. He regularly presents at the state and national conferences, is Certified Clinical Instructor for doctoral candidates and has been a part time instructor at University of Nevada, Las Vegas since he relocated to Las Vegas in 2021. Douglas is dedicated to empowering students with diverse clinical learning experiences that enrich their understanding and application of didactic curriculum.
