David Wedley is the director of Student-Athlete Academic Services (SAAS) and the academic eligibility specialist for Football. Since joining SAAS in 2011, David has been an academic eligibility specialist for various varsity programs including Volleyball, Softball, Women's Soccer, Men's Golf, Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving, and Men's Soccer. David is responsible for the pre-certification process for continuing eligibility for all student-athletes, as well as the submission of institutional APR and GSR data.

David graduated from UNLV with a M.S. in sport and leisure studies management in 2011. During his studies, David was a graduate assistant within the SLS department, while also volunteering time with the Compliance Office for UNLV Athletics. Prior to his move to Las Vegas, David earned his B.S. from Grand Valley State University, where he served as an assistant baseball coach for four years, providing him with extensive experience in collegiate athletics.
