David Savarese, MD, joined the University of Nevada in December of 2015 after moving to Las Vegas from Connecticut. He has 20 years of experience as a pediatrician and 15 years of experience in medical leadership in community health. Dr. Savarese began his career in private practice in New City New York. Thereafter, he joined Montefiore Medical Center as a Pediatrician and three years later was promoted to Medical Director. In 2006, he moved to Connecticut where he served as medical director for two federally qualified community health centers. Dr. Savarese has also served as Chairman of the Clinical Issues Committee for the Community Health Center Association of Connecticut. Dr. Savarese has been champion of health care improvement for the underserved for the majority of his career.
