Daniel Lowe

Biography
Dr. Daniel Lowe received his Ph.D. in Engineering from UNLV in 2012 with a focus on radioisotope production from linear accelerators for the medical community. Lowe has served as professional staff since 2006 and, as PI or Co-PI, acquired more than $1M of external funding relating to monte carlo applications, radiation science applications, pulsed power machines, radiography and medical imaging techniques. He is now the Director of UNLV’s Accelerator Center, which is a multidisciplinary research entity that provides high energy x-rays and neutrons to support the radiological science mission on campus. New research in isotope production, radiography techniques, and medical applications are strengthened through the primary partnership with Varian Medical Systems.
