Biography

Christine Zedelmayer has more than 30 years of experience building and scaling small and large companies in the biotech, pharmaceutical and medical device industry.  Currently, she is the Chief Operating Officer at Equillium, Inc., a public, clinical-stage biotech company focused on developing medicines for autoimmune and immuno-inflammatory disorders. As an early executive at Equillium, Christine was deeply involved during the company’s key inflection points – from successfully filing the first IND with the FDA to taking the company public in less than 12 months.

Prior to Equillium, Christine was founder and CEO of a life-sciences strategic advisory firm, Centerra Consulting. Throughout her career she has held leadership roles at Amylin Pharmaceuticals, Amgen, Ligand, and Hybritech in business development, investor relations, operations, program management, manufacturing and quality, and has helped develop, commercialize and launch several drugs to the U.S. and global markets, including Aranesp, Neulasta, Byetta, Symlin, Bydureon, Targretin and Panretin.   

Christine received her Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering at San Diego State University and a Master of Business Administration with finance emphasis at California Lutheran University. She is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMI-PMP).
