Biography
Christine Draper is an Instructional Designer in the Office of Online Education. Prior to joining UNLV Christine was an Associate Professor of Education at Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, GA from 2007-2017 where she supervised field placements and taught courses in teacher education, literacy, children’s and young adult literature, literature and writing, integrated curriculum, and trends and issues in the content areas. She also served as their Partnership Coordinator and edTPA Co-Coordinator. She has researched, published, and presented extensively on literacy and teacher education topics.
She most recently served as an Instructional Designer at Nevada State College in the Center for Teaching and Learning Excellence from 2007-2020. Christine was also a former Clark County School District teacher in both elementary and middle grades.
Christine holds an undergraduate degree in Elementary Education with concentrations in Math, Science and Social Studies from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, MI. She holds an M.Ed. and Ph.D. in Instructional and Curricular Studies with concentrations in Literacy from the University of Nevada Las Vegas.
