Cheryl Tillotson

Biography
Cheryl Tillotson has more than 19 years of academic advising experience at UNLV, with over seven of those years working specifically with students in the College of Liberal Arts. In addition to serving as an academic advisor, Cheryl has held positions of assistant director, associate director, and interim director for the academic advising centers she has worked in. Cheryl has been a devoted Rebel since the fall of 1991 when she came all the way from Illinois to attend UNLV as a freshman. She earned both her bachelor’s degree in psychology, with a minor in English, and her master’s degree in educational leadership from UNLV, and she has been a proud member of the UNLV Alumni Association since 1996. In 2008, Cheryl was the recipient of the UNLV Undergraduate Academic Advisor Award, and in 2010 she received the National Academic Advising Association (NACADA) Certificate of Merit Award for Outstanding Advising. Cheryl is also a member of the Golden Key International Honor Society, Psi Chi International Honor Society in Psychology, and a board member for the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, UNLV Chapter 100.
