Biography
Senior Lecturer Chad Hensley, Ph.D. R.T.(R)(MR) joined the radiography program during the fall of 2004 and teaches radiographic anatomy and positioning, advanced patient care, introduction to radiologic technology, ethics, and legal issues in medical imaging. He is also the program director for the undergraduate program.
Hensley earned a bachelor and master's degree from UNLV and a doctorate in curriculum and instruction with an emphasis in career and technical education from the University of Nevada Las Vegas. He holds membership with the Nevada Society of Radiologic Technologists and the American Society of Radiologic Technologists.
Hensley is a board member of the National Honors Society of Lambda Nu, co-founder of the Nevada Society of Radiologic Technologists, board member for the Joint Review Committee on the Education of Radiologic Technologists, and a member of the conference management team for the Association of Collegiate Educators in Radiologic Technology.
Hensley received the School of Allied Health Sciences Distinguished Teacher of the Year award in 2011-2012, Outstanding Educator from the Association of Collegiate Educators in Radiologic Sciences in 2020, Most Effective Radiologic Technologist Educator award by Aunt Minnie and the Outstanding Individual Grassroots Advocacy Award by the American Society of Radiologic Technologists in 2015.
